Product Description

About Redmond Clay
Redmond Clay is an old “Home Remedy” that generations of people have used for a variety of ailments. Redmond Clay’s origins are as old as the practice of putting a mud poultice on a bee sting. Geologically, Redmond Clay is volcanic ash that was deposited in sea water approximately 150 million years ago. Technically, Redmond Clay is a swelling-type sodium bentonite. Redmond Minerals brings this “clay of a thousand uses” to market in its natural state with no additives, chemicals or preservatives. The only processing it undergoes is crushing and screening.

Since there are no proven studies to indicate that Redmond Clay is effective in curing any ailment, this document serves only as an educational example of how Redmond Clay has been used historically.

External Uses
Mix the Redmond Clay with water to make a gel the consistency of mustard. Then apply the gel/paste directly on the skin for a drawing effect, as in the case of a bee sting, mosquito bite, boil, spider bite, stinging nettle, etc. If the clay is not covered it will dry out, and as it dries, you will feel it draw and pull. If you want a tightening effect, as in the case of a facial for acne, pimples, or minor cuts, leave it on until it is almost, but not totally dry, then remove. If you want a more cooling and soothing effect, as for burns or scrapes and bruises, cover the gel with a plastic covering or wet cloth so it won’t dry out. To remove the clay pack, simply wash it off with water and a gentle rubbing motion. Do not reuse the clay pack. Other external uses have been as a talcum powder or a diapering powder.

Internal Uses
Redmond Clay has been taken once or twice daily with or without food, as desired, by mixing 1 heaping tablespoon of the mixed gel in 1/2 glass of cold water or juice. There is no laboratory proof that Redmond Clay is effective for any internal disorders, but people have taken the clay on a full stomach for acid indigestion or heart burn for its cooling effect. Taking the clay on an empty stomach in the evening has been known to bring relief for ulcers. Some people have felt that its ability to absorb water is beneficial for constipation. In the same sense, it seems to absorb moisture thereby relieving diarrhea.

Pre-mixed ready to use gel
Mix two parts water with one part Redmond Clay to make a gel or mud. You can use a blender or mixer to speed up the process or you can just shake or stir by hand and then wait 3-4 hours for the clay to activate. It should make a mud the consistency of mustard. If it seems too thin, add more clay. If it seems too thick add more water. Keep the gel in a covered, non-metallic container and it will not dry out and will not separate. It stores with or without refrigeration for an indefinite period. If it does dry out over prolonged storage, just add water and remix.

This clay is absolutely amazing. I have the powdered stuff and I use for for pretty much everything. If I get any type of stomach illness, I always use it. I also use it for detox baths and foot baths. I also bought the bottle of hydrated first aid clay. Its great for any type of injury or for a spot treatment for pimples. I usually mix the powdered stuff myself with other things for a face mask. My skin has never been more clear in my life. I alternate between using the clay as a face cleanser and using coconut oil to clean my face. I keep a little bottle of the hydrated clay in my purse and use it any time I get bit or stung or cut by something. I love this stuff and will continue using it.

I have used and enjoyed the benefits of realsalt for over 35 years. I love that you have added products to the original salt or clay choices. Hope to use it for another 35 yrs. I am trying your seasonings for the first time I will let you know what I think. Oh did I mention how miraculous the clay is. It was the only thing, and we tried many, that healed my father’s shingles when he was miserable with them. I have used it over the years for many different things. Always with excellent results. Thank You… Keep up the good work.

Will be trying it on my sons eczema ill be surprised if it doesn’t help.

You know what, I have a true story for your company. A few weeks ago, out of the blue I developed a terrible rash on my neck. It was itching something awful and I could not keep from scratching. People were starting to notice because it was so inflamed. I tired a few ointments and nothing worked. Then it dawned on me to try making a “paste” with my Redmond Clay that I have used on my daughter who has allergies when she breaks out. So, I slathered it all over the area and within seconds, I felt relief. I applied it a few more times that day and the next few days and it went away. I was so impressed and pleased.

My grandaughter who is just 6 weeks old had a severe diaper rash caused by a yeast infection that was being passed back and forth between baby and her nursing mother. Her pediatrician had prescribed an antibiotic cream but it was not clearing up. We decided to make a paste of the Redmond’s Clay and water. Mom now thinks this is a miracle diaper rash remedy! The rash disappeared after the first application. Needless to say…..we are now using this clay for everything!!

Thanks so much for this miraculous product!!!

    Hello,
I just wanted to leave a review about Redmond Clay…I have had problems with acne since I was in my early teens. NOTHING worked, except [______] brand acne medications. I didn’t want to put all those chemicals on my skin, but I didn’t know what else to use. I read about your clay powder, and though it was worth a shot. I was pregnant and wanted a natural product to clear up my acne. When I got the clay powder, I mixed it with some water to make the paste/gel, and I used to cleanse my face twice a day. Every two days I added baking soda to exfoliate. At first, my skin started breaking out and getting very bumpy, but after two weeks or so it completely cleared up. Now I use the Redmond Clay paste only once a day and my skin looks amazing. I’m so happy not to have to use chemicals and questionable ingredients anymore, just good old dirt!! Thanks for a great product!

My oldest daughter and I started using the Redmond Clay about a month ago to help treat a sunburn and my daughter’s psoriasis. I have to say we were a little uncertain at first. After a month – we are sold! The clay masks are making our skin look so much healthier! Her psoriasis on her elbows is almost gone. Thank you for helping us discover this simple and effective product!

I received a sample of the Redmond Clay Powder from a gift basket…and I am so glad I did. Redmond Clay has worked wonders. I recently got poison ivy and went and bought almost all of the over-the-counter remedies. They relieved the itching temporarily, but wasn’t drying the rash out. I had used the other products for over a week and wasn’t seeing the results I though I should. I decided to try the Redmond Clay Powder…..MIRACLE! The Redmond Clay achieved more in one night, then a week+ worth of other products. It has dried out and looks 100% better! Thanks Redmond Clay!

my son has used this for a rash that could be candida or fungal related. he has tried many clays but this is far superior to any he has used. he still uses it off and on for flareups. this started out when he was in high school playing football and he got jock itch and foot rashes. the doctor gave him steroid cremes which only made it worse in the long run. use this for a long term therapy and to control the rash. the candida has to be addressed separtely. wgr.

I get nervous when I run out of this stuff!! You know how exciting it is when you discover something that just changes everything?! Well , that’s clay. Something so plain and simple, how did I overlook it all my life!? When my daughter got Pityriasis Rosea, I went to the Herb store looking for something to get rid of this nasty virus. The owner directed me to a jar of Redmond clay. I had been to the Doctor already, they had said there was no treatment. It was one of those things you just have to ride out. I didn’t have time to ride it out! My little girl was going to be shooting a movie called The Blind Side and I couldn’t take her to set like that, all covered in a creeping rash! So I took her outside in a bathing suit and coated her in the clay and we called it a spa treatment! She thought it was fun playing in the “mud”! Well, the rash cleared quickly and I thank you for this wondrous clay! Since I still had some clay left , I just started experimenting with it’s uses. I put it on fire ant bites and every other type of sting or reaction. I put it on paper cuts and burns and cold sores. ANYTHING!(Even more intimate issues.) Don’t be afraid to try it! It has been the greatest addition to our medicine cabinet (which mostly goes unused now!) As soon as someone starts getting sick or has diarrhea, vomiting, gas, etc, we take the clay either in a drink or in capsule form. Wonderful beyond words. Yes, I find myself telling people about it everywhere I go! I always have a little mixed up and in my purse!
